Testliner paper (TLP)
TLP is made entirely from recycled fibers, but additives such as starch (as a stiffening material on one or both sides of the paper) and sizing materials (only on one side of the paper), as well as other additives as filling and dye are also used in the production process.
TLP is used to manufacture cardboard sheet. 3 types of paper are usually used to produce carton: TLP for the outer layer, Fluting paper (FP) for the middle layer, and Liner paper (LP) for the inner layer.

A TLP which is used as a top layer of carton sheets, has special technical specifications. For example, the top paper layer absorbs less water than the underneath layer does, protecting the carton from the ambient moisture and increasing its printability. Water absorption by the bottom layer is due to its better adhesion to the FP. Having good surface resistances, TLP achieves higher quality print. Given the high quality of this paper, it can be used in both outer layer and inner layer of the cardboard.
A TLP that manufactured by Kaveh Paper Industries Co. (KPIC) from recycled papers with the least amount of impurities, TLP falls in the category of environmentally friendly products. This type of paper is considered as one of the products of highest quality produced in Iran.
KPIC manufactures the Testliner paper from recycled paper in the grammage of 115-130 g/m2 and the width of up to 3m.
